Good news...Our G&R is scheduled for Christmas Day at 3pm! Unfortunatey, the US Embassy is closed until Monday so we will be back in Hanoi by tomorrow night but won't be able to do anything else until Monday. Regardless, "we've got ourselves a family" so life is good. Kiah is still having stomach issues but is cheerful overall. Last night he was standing up on his own and was very delighted when we clapped our encouragement. We finally decided to check out Vietnamese television. Who knew they had their own "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire"? We also watched what appeared to be an angst-filled episode of Hanoi 90210. Laney and Kiah were both fascinated. We will miss sharing the holidays with family and friends and can't wait to get back home but are content to spend our first Christmas as a family of four together and know you are all only a blog post away. Congratulations on the great news of having the G&R set. This will make for a Christmas day legend that will be retold for decades. It is about 8:20 AM, 24 December in Leland. Scuttle and I have been out for morning duties and have tossed the bedraggled, but still functional, chew toy. I loved Laney's performance of Jingle Bells, and was startled, and honored, to see myself in it. Distressing that Kiah's tummy storm has not passed, but we know he has a loving family to help him through it. We are eager for the next posting and for your return home. Love -- Grampie.
