On our first full day back in Hanoi, we had lots to do. Perry went with C and our agency rep to apply for the children's passports in the morning, then Kiah had his medical check in the afternoon. He was not impressed, as evidenced by the photos. But he got the "all clear" and is free to travel, once we get his visa. We are still not sure when that will be, but are hoping for either Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning. We should find out on Monday around 10am when our appointment has been scheduled.
Kiah's stomach issues have slowed down a bit and he has gotten used to his new temporary home. He found a nice little hiding place in the closet where he engaged us in a raucous game of "peek-a-boo". He is getting much more comfortable around Perry who has found that Kiah likes to hang upside-down by his feet. Definitely not a game a mother would initiate, so it has become their "thing". He makes the cutest sounds that he likes for anyone nearby to imitate. He is also standing on his feet alot more and is cruising around on the furniture. I'm not quite ready for him to start walking yet, but I think it will be soon!

Wow!! Standing alone, hanging upside down, hiding in the closet, baby word games ---- Morning View Way will never be the same. And even we, 12,000 miles away, are relieved to know that his upset tummy is settling down. It is 9:30 AM on Saturday, Scuttle has had an energetic and productive morning walk, has galloped through the house, and is now curled up in my office for a brief nap. B+A+A are in Raleigh to visit the Taylor grandparents. Even though Kiah has happily attached to Mom and Big Sister (and what male in this right mind would do otherwise?) I know that before long he and Dad will be catching the big ones in the golf course pond. WE MISS YOU. Love --- Grampie
My goodness! He is too cute! We can't wait to play peek a boo with him. Appartently that Dr doesn't know how to handle kids.(haha) We are praying that the remaining paperwork goes smoothly and is completed on schedule. We are all ready for you to come home! HUGS AND KISSES to all! Love Aunt B
Kiah is just amazing! Emily, your face makes me cry every time I see a picture of you!!! You are glowing and obviously in love with this little boy!! I love him already because of the joy he has obviously brought you. He is precious! I want you to come home so badly. I want to give you a big hug and hold your son and hear Laney's sweet laugh. We're praying guys, your doing a great job!
Glad you are back in Hanoi and you did have a good Christmas spending it with Laney and Kiah. Their presents are waiting. So happy to hear Kiah is doing so well. Trying to walk already. Laney has done a good job showing him how. We can't wait to see everyone and hold Kiah for the first time. Life is good. Scuttle is fine, getting spoiled but not be me. I have had to give up my bed for him. He really loves Grandpa, follows him everywhere. Like he did me at one time. when Jerry wasn't around that weekend I took care of him. He is very fickle. He is doing great and just waiting for his family to come home. Looking forward for the next post. Love, Mom

We're glad that Kiah got the "all clear" from the doctor, and we're glad that his stomach issues are getting better. As John and I follow your blog, it reminds us so much of our time in Russia. We were scolded by the babushkas (Russian grandmothers) for not dressing Natalie warmly enough, and we remember visiting the dotor, waiting for passports and visas, etc. You continue to be in our thoughts and prayers, and we look forward to seeing you all very soon.

Wanted to let you know that two good pictures of you, one of Laney and Kiah close up, and Emily and Kiah on your chest was shown at church this morning and they prayed for your safe and quick arrival. Everyone ahhh'd at our precious Allen baby boy! You are being prayed for! Warm here now, hope you get home soon, I can see your used to warmer weather :)
