Despite a twenty-four hour delay, incredible traffic, and an unavailable government official, we are now the proud family of Kiah Thanh Allen! We left the hotel in Hanoi this morning just after 7am and arrived in Thanh Hoa at 10:45. After a disappointing stop at the Department of Justice where we found out the only person in all of Vietnam who can officially stamp our paperwork would not be back until Monday, we arrived at Kiah's orphanage and he was in Emily's arms before noon. He did remarkably well and was smiling at Emily and Laney quickly. After meeting the nannies, playing with the kids and having tea with the orphanage director, we were on our way to our new temporary home, the Van Chai Resort, where we will await the scheduling of the official Giving and Receiving Ceremony. We spent the rest of the day unpacking and playing with Kiah. He is a cute little guy and already seems to be comfortable with us. He adores Laney and follows her every move. She loves having a little brother to entertain. We feel incredibly blessed and amazed at God's plan for our family. Emily will post more details tomorrow but here are a few pictures until then. Perry

First time to really sit and take a look. First thought - I am so excited for you guys - to think that we have been praying for sooooooo long that this day might come and now look...it's here. Congratulations. Second thought - what are you feeding your son? And why isn't Laney eating any of it?... Last thought - Laney looks about as happy as if she had won a gold medal. Precious... David
